Website Handoff and Ongoing Support

Current stage: Launch & Support

This page is used after annual payment, live-domain launch, and production verification. There is no handoff action for the parish to complete before BOTH/AND confirms that the live website is ready.

Your Website Is Ready

After launch, BOTH/AND verifies the live website, including HTTPS, main pages and navigation, mobile and desktop display, public forms and their delivery, the calendar, Analytics, and planned redirects. Critical checks are repeated later that day and on the next business day.

Website Accounts and Guide

Approved website users receive access appropriate to their responsibilities. A secure account-creation or password-reset link is sent directly to each user. Passwords should never be sent by email or placed in the project upload folder.

The BOTH/AND Client Website Guide explains how to sign in, protect an account, publish approved content, and request help. Written guidance is the normal training method; a call may be arranged when it would materially help someone carry out an approved responsibility.

Requesting Support

Use the Contact Us page to send a support request. Include the parish name, page address, a clear description, exact replacement wording or image filename, a screenshot when useful, and any real deadline or immediate public concern.

Do not send passwords. BOTH/AND will respond by the end of the next two business days. This means the request is acknowledged and evaluated within that time; completion depends on the work, information needed from the parish, and any outside service involved.

Changes Included with Annual Service

The annual service includes reasonable-use small routine changes within the existing site, such as adding or removing an approved user, correcting existing text, changing existing homepage content, or replacing an existing homepage photograph.

New pages, substantial rewriting, bulk content entry, recurring weekly updates, new features or integrations, redesign, or complex troubleshooting may require a separate estimate. BOTH/AND will explain that before beginning billable work.

Keeping Parish Information Current

The parish remains responsible for current service times, clergy and staff information, calendar, ministries, form recipients, and other parish-specific content. The embedded calendar is updated through the parish’s calendar provider, not through a website user account. Featured Event pages are separate.

Project Files After Launch

The private upload folder is a working project folder, not the parish’s permanent archive. The parish should download anything it needs to retain. Unless a longer period is documented, BOTH/AND may delete the working upload folder 30 calendar days after launch.

Keep the Handoff Email

The handoff email records the live address, approved users, primary contact, form recipients, calendar source, Analytics owner, applicable guide sections, and deferred work. Keep it with the parish’s website records and contact BOTH/AND whenever a listed owner or responsibility changes.

What Happens Next?

Use the Client Website Guide for ordinary website work. Support questions and requests for included small changes may be sent to BOTH/AND. Keep the renewal, cancellation, and transition information with the parish’s website records; no action is needed unless the parish’s service status changes.
